JB Downtown is the oldest district and the earliest gathering place of Chinese in the past. It is full of ancient buildings and traditional food from the colonial period. It is even named after the early Chinese port owner "Tan Hiok Nee". When the area was renovated into a cultural street, new energy was injected into the old street, where modern cafes and traditional food co-existed and became the main feature.
